Welcome

Kelvin is currently the Principal of Encounter Lutheran College, a position held for 14 years. He will bring extensive educational and faith leadership experience in Lutheran education, a passion for fostering compassionate and trusting relationships, and a commitment to building thriving school cultures. He holds a Master of Business Administration and is in the final stages of Doctoral studies. He is married to Skye and is father to three teenage children.

Kelvin shares the following message:

"I am excited to be returning to the Adelaide Hills where my teaching career commenced and look forward to embracing new opportunities and challenges with you. I’m at my best when working alongside others so am extremely excited to meet and connect with the staff, students and families of the Cornerstone community. I’m grateful to the Board for the trust afforded to me and I also give thanks to God for the privilege of leading the College’s next chapter."  

Kelvin Grivell will commence his role in Term 2, 2026.

We are pleased to announce that Mr Kevin Richardson has been appointed as Interim Principal for Term 1 2026. Kevin is one of Lutheran Education’s most experienced educational leaders having retired after 20 years as Principal of Immanuel College. Kevin brings a wealth of experience in principal mentoring, using technology to enhance learning, strategic planning and Lutheran school leadership. The Cornerstone College community will benefit greatly from Kevin’s visionary leadership and commitment to educational excellence.

In Colossians 2:3 we are reminded – “In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." The College Board thanks every member of the College community whose prayers and wisdom has led to this important appointment for the College.
