Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable and Payable)
- Permanent, Part-Time position commencing as soon as possible
- 75% of role in Accounts Receivable and 25% in Accounts Payable
- 0.8FTE comprised of 30 hours per week and 48 weeks per year
- Hours of work – 8:30am to 4:45pm
- Flexibility regarding which 4 days per week
- Lutheran School Officer Grade 3
A rare opportunity is available for an experienced person to join our high achieving finance team.
This role will support both accounts receivable and payable function across two schools and will be performed with a desire to support and serve both schools and wider community.
The Accounts Receivable portion of the role requires staff to produce, maintain and distribute accounts and reports, handle family queries promptly in a friendly manner, follow up overdues, process credits and adjustments and negotiate payment plans. The Accounts Payable area of the role requires understanding and confidence in processing high volumes of invoices using PC School. handling vendor queries, reconciling supplier accounts and responsibility for EFT payment runs.
Previous experience within a high-volume accounts receivable and payable role for a medium to large organisation is essential. This is an outstanding opportunity to add value to the College by identifying process improvements and assisting to implement these changes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound computer skills and highly developed verbal and written communication skills. They will be self-motivated and work well as part of a small team. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to meet deadlines will be highly regarded. The ability to be organised, work well under pressure with great attention to detail is essential. Providing service with an empathetic, caring attitude and a personable approach, is key to the success of the role.
